When ever I visit LA I can’t leave without grabbing a hot cup of coffee and taking a stroll on the beach be. This morning I headed over to Manhattan Beach one of my favorite beaches in LA. The early morning strolls are the best –Crisp Air, Friendly Faces, Beautiful View and of course a tasty hot cup of coffee. Peet’s Coffee and Tea serves up a really nice Café Au Lait….
Peet’s Coffee & Tea is about three blocks from the Manhattan Beach Pier. They offer a full range of coffee drinks, as well as teas, pastries and coffee accessories. There’s plenty of seating both indoor and out…. I have never taking a seat for obvious reasons… Grab my coffee and or treat and head to the beach to people watch and enjoy the view. Peet’s coffee definitely worth giving them a trip and a sip while in LA!

While taking a walk one beautiful evening in the streets of New York with my friend Marcus I started craving a hot cup of coffee and something sweet some kind of serious which is not unusual for me -anything is an excuse for a cup of coffee… Marcus recommended the Market (it really was an opportunity for my bro to share his favorite grocery store with me). Upon walking up to the store I immediately fell in love with the fresh produce outside – inside the coffee station was being refreshed by the cutest and friendly clerk… Huge “perk” for the market -no pun intended.
The coffee was freshly brewed and might I add DELICIOUS!! I could have closed my eyes and envisioned myself in a cafe in Paris (Paris, Texas teehee).. It really was good though… To my surprise Marcus who witnessed my instant love affair with the Westside Market gifted me with a souvenir t-shirt. I love love it and it’s a constant reminder of my exciting walk through the streets of Manhattan with my cup of Westside Market coffee in hand…

One of the best spiked coffees I’ve had was in a cute little shop tucked away on the streets of Madrid, Spain…. Crema la Creme Kalper was the Spanish liquor used in the coffee and it was uniquely amazing..
If you think I was excited about the coffee just imagine how I felt when three french tourist walked up to me and said “who dat”!! My sweater called me out. In broken english -I think this was the cutest part hearing them struggle to tell me they were huge Saints fans. They pulled out their phone to show me the highlights of their visit to New Orleans to watch the Saints in person.. Pretty impressive Saints!!! It was a bond made in heaven!!!

While in Asheville, NC I was having one of my moments.. Thoughts of Tiramisu and coffee!!!!! Relying on “Motion X GPS” which thankfully hasn’t failed me yet -I was directed to a quant little bakery with a sign in the window “Well-Bred” (it less than 10 minutes from Asheville in Weaverville).
I swear when I walked in the only thing I smelled was tiramisu… and there it was sitting all pretty right before my eyes…
I ordered a nice BIG piece and a cup of Café Au Lait. A taste of love!
Well-Bred had me at hello… That tiramisu was so divine, creamy and yummilicious!! The sad thing about the journey I only purchased one piece and didn’t taste it until I was miles away -I had taste dummies in the vehicle with me that obviously had to try some. Leaving me wanting more..
Next time I’m headed back to NC I know to order more –enough to share and enough to keep for myself.

Coasting on I-75 in search of free wifi & tiramisu I stumbled upon a gem…. This place was so cute & cozy -add the owner was a beauty (inside/out) to meet…. Did I mention I found my tiramisu??? It was delicious!!!
In addition custom coffee & tea blends they also offer a full of array of items on the menu including panini’s another favorite of mine.. There’s also live entertainment during some nights of the week.
Added bonus it’s near the airport, so if you have a long layover it’s the perfect spot to sneak away to..

During my stay in Midtown New York I frequented this modern and bright expresso bar… Aroma.. Of course when I see red I’m drawn in.. The coffee house was in walking distance from my hotel and so worth the stroll. As busy as New York is I love to stop and smell the coffee while there and greet others with Southern Hospitality at the time..
The coffee was worth every coin, the menu selection is really big.. I always went in early am hours.. Maybe next time I’ll stop by for lunch. If you happen to stop before me let me know how it was.
